I’ve been using Bose QC3 for quite some time now and I had finally bought the Bose Quiet Comfort 3 Bluetooth Communications Kit at a Bose store in London. It was the first time I went into a Bose store (I bought the QC3 online.)
The sales guy was friendly enough but he has quite a tiny voice, unfortunately for me, because I thought I heard the guy said £39.00 or something, I can’t recall the price. It was in March 2008. I tested the kit with their own QC3 and my N95 and it works perfectly. When I was about to pay, the guy said “That will be £139 please.”
My ego got the better of me so I bought it anyway. The sound quality was as good as Bluetooth headphones get. The microphone has noise filtering features so calls made were loud and clear. Add the noise cancelling from the QC3 itself you get a perfect combination for good quality calls.
It’s good in terms of call quality and comfort but when it comes to convenience and portability, it fails miserably. That’s probably why I can’t seem to find it online. I end up using the Bluetooth kit exclusively for skype calls. If you don’t mind the size and price this is a great alternative to the Bluetooth headset that has become the norm today.

To take the quality up a another level, you can connect the wire directly to your mobile phone or your pc or laptop for skype.
The alternative to this expensive piece of headphones accessory is the cheaper Bose Mobile Communications Kit for Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones which can be found here but it’s not wireless, there’s no bluetooth.
