User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Quality vs WEP200 not good.
Sound quality just poor with my t-mobile sidekick slide. I would’nt recommend it with my type on unit.

4 Stars works great a few minuses
I love the size and weight of this earpiece. I have had no problems with performance at all. It does fit in my ear. I ordered the Jabra ear gels because I thought they would help, but all the pieces were too big to fit into my ear so that was a waste of my money.

But the ones that came with the headset work fine enough. The only gripes I have are the positioning of the button (as others have said it’s easy to activate by mistake) and the size is pretty small, so I can imagine it being easy to lose. It’s also fallen out of my ear a few times, so it can be a challenge to secure.

I also have concerns about the recharging case that comes with it. If it breaks (it it’s made of plastic so this could be pretty easy to do I think), then you’re out of luck to charge the thing unless you can get a replacement from Samsung. All in all I’m pretty happy with it though. I just hope I don’t lose it or it doesn’t break.

5 Stars WEP500-A Good Headset
The Samsung WEP500 is, in my opinion, one of the best units that I’ve had. At first, I had trouble keeping it situated in my ear but, after reading reviews by other users, I ordered a set of Jabra EarGels…problem solved. As for the headset itself, sound quality is excellent(on both ends),and it easily paired with my RazrV9x.

Finally, the tiny size still has me amazed!

4 Stars Very Good but not perfect
This headset is like a wild mustang if you want to make it work. It has some of the best well-thought of features available in the market if you are willing to spend time to tame it. First off the pros, the profile is just insane when compared to most of the headsets out there.

Pairing is convenient, just once; then as long as your phone’s bluetooth is on-you just have to switch the headset on & it pairs automatically. I also like the charger design.

Now the cons: I do agree that the multi-function button can be easily pressed when adjusting, positioning or putting it on but with discipline and proper handling this can be avoided.

You can purge your calls history, put it on first then turn it on or avoid touching the button by handling it by the sides. I don’t think it’s the location of the button rather the function.

What I mean is that for the redialing feature, they could’ve made it to be pressed 2x than once or have it pressed for 2 seconds or so-I think that’s the problem.

There is no better place to put it than where it currently is. You also have to spend time studying how to have it fit the right way in your ear. I had to experiment with it with the diff eargel adapters but came to the conclusion that the original is still the best for me.

Bottom line is that this is an excellent headset but you have to spend time to study the strengths and weaknesses which is present in everything.

Being an engineer by trade, I made it a habit to carefully analyze gadgets before drawing a conclusion prematurely, study the functions and think why they designed it the way they did.

Some people whine and complain because they’re too lazy to sit down and study items that they miss the good things they have to offer.

1 Star Not loving this
I will be returning this headset as soon as I can make it back to the store. Loved the idea of such a small unit, but the reality is awful.

Keep either re-dialing or cutting off people because it can’t be touched or adjusted without hitting the buttons, and I have small hands. Also, the earbud is too big, making it an uncomfortable fit.

On the plus side, the sound quality is fantastic, and I would live with the other inconveniences if not for one last thing: everyone I’ve called using this thing has complained of the echo effect.

This is definitely a case where newer does not equal better.
